Over 28 years professional planning experience, of which 17 years was spent at for local authorities in the East and West Midlands in development control and enforcement. His last public sector post was as Development Control Manager at Harborough District Council between 2004 and 2006.

Lance is now a planning consultant and has worked in a number of emerging areas of planning
including affordable housing, waste related developments and energy efficiency, together with planning policy work including Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessments and submitting representations on Local Development Documents in numerous Districts
